Meghan, a fourth generation Charlottean, has witnessed enormous change and growth throughout the Charlotte community over the past 20 years. After spending time abroad clerking for the Appeals Section of the UN International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia in The Netherlands, she returned home in search of an opportunity to give back to her community. Fluent in Spanish, with experience as a former teacher at the New Horizons Colegio Bilingue in the Dominican Republic and as a Court Appointed Special Advocate at CASA for Kids in West Virginia, she settled in with Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy. As an Equal Justice Works Americorp Fellow, Meghan represented unaccompanied minor children who had recently emigrated to the United States. She enjoyed working with the youth population and helping to address the difficulties faced by the immigrant community.
However, her passion, the intersection of business and law, led her to Marcellino & Tyson. From a family of local business owners, Meghan has learned and values the importance of addressing the unique legal needs of each business owner and employee. She strives to build a relationship with her clients so that she can develop the best legal strategy to meet her clients’ goals. Outside of work, Meghan enjoys traveling near and far with her husband, and spoiling their dog, Bella.
