About
Katy focuses her practice on estate planning, estate administration, and business law. Katy works closely with clients to address a wide range of needs, including creating comprehensive plans to ensure wealth transfer, minimize tax liabilities, establish guardianships for minor children, and protect assets for future generations. With a natural inclination for planning and organization, Katy thrives in estate planning. She is committed to educating her clients about the estate planning process, empowering them to make informed decisions that reflect their values and wishes, and providing clarity and peace of mind – whether navigating unique family dynamics or addressing business succession needs.
Prior to going to law school, Katy received her BBA and MBA in accounting. During this time, she worked at a CPA firm. This experience sharpened her accounting knowledge, providing her with a unique blend of legal and financial insight. These diverse experiences have shaped Katy into a versatile and goal-oriented advisor, dedicated to helping clients achieve their objectives with clarity and confidence.
Originally from Jamestown, New York, Katy relocated to Charlotte in 2020 with her husband. Outside of work, she enjoys spending quality time with her daughter and exploring the outdoors with her Australian Shepherd, Leroy.
